The Challenge

The Bhadohi district faced years of neglect with broken roads, open drains, and lack of basic amenities. The village of Rampur, in particular, had no proper toilets, no street lighting, and extremely limited job opportunities. Health issues were common due to poor sanitation.

The Mishty Foundation's Initiative

In early 2024, The Mishty Foundation launched a holistic rural development campaign in Rampur, focusing on:

Building 50+ sanitation units
Repairing internal village roads
Installing 20 solar-powered street lights
Starting a Skill Center for Youth & Women
Conducting regular health check-up camps

The Impact

Within 6 months:

✅ 85% of homes now have access to clean toilets
✅ Night-time movement is safer due to proper lighting
✅ 40 youth received training in tailoring & mobile repair
✅ 25 women began earning from home-based sewing units
✅ School attendance increased by 30%
